Building my first custom drum set
For my Product Design III class I will be building my own custom drum set, and hopefully starting my own custom drum company after I graduate (Spring 2013) with a BS in Sustainable Product Design and Innovation, as well as a BS in Safety/Health Studies.
all of the wood will be local New England maple.
This drum set will include:
8x12 - High Tom
14x16 - Floor Tom
18x22 - Bass Drum
Stain/Finish:
either:
Brown stain with a 1 1/2 inch thick green strip in the center of each drum, with a Linseed Oil Finish.
or
Black stain, Linseed Oil finish
Lugs/Hardware:
Brass (brown stain drums) or Chrome (black stain drums)
Hoops:
Maple (brown stain drums)
Chrome (black stain)
